Salmonella Panel
Specimens:
- Cow feces samples, swabs from feces/rectum, or swabs from the environment.
Pathogens:
- Salmonella spp.
- Salmonella Dublin
Paratuberculosis / Johne’s Disease Panel
Specimens:
- Cow feces samples, swabs from feces/rectum, or swabs from the environment (i.e. boot samples).
Pathogens:
- Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP).
Respiratory Disease Panel
Animals:
- Recommended to sample animals with respiratory disease, as well as animals without respiratory disease that are in the same pen.
- Recommended a minimum of 12 sick and 12 healthy (ideal 20 of each).
Specimens:
- Deep nasopharyngeal swabs or tracheal lavage. From dead animals, sample tracheal fluid after necropsy.
Pathogens:
- Mannheimia haemolytica
- Pasteurella multocida
- Histophilus somni
- Mycoplasma bovis
- Bovine Respiratory Syncytial virus
- Bovine Corona virus
- PI 3 virus
- IBR virus
- BVD virus
